Announcement from our Pastor, Rev. Kyles
It is with humility and great joy that I, Rev. Tajuan Kyles offer myself as the General Secretary of the Christian Education Department of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Although my vision is great my platform is simple: Vision, Voice, and Vessel.
Not only am I a Visionary Leader but also a graduate of Jackson State University, Jackson Mississippi and Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia with a M.Div. degree from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology. Also, I am a Certified Coach with the John Maxwell Team. In 2011, I was ordained an Elder in the A.M.E. Zion Church and received my 1st Pastoral appointment in 2017 from the Senior Bishop of the A.M.E. Zion Church, Bishop George E. Battle, Jr.
Since I was a little girl, I have always had a big voice. From singing in the choir at church & school to teaching and preaching throughout Zion and beyond. My voice has been heard in small and large congregations by people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether I’m writing for the Department of Church School Literature or presenting at the Winter Meetings I have used my creativity and voice to tell of the greatness of God. As a member of the Freedom Church, I will continue to use my individual and collective voice to speak up and speak out.
“To be used of God” is my greatest desire and joy. From helping to raise a blended family to pastoring a congregation in Waxhaw, North Carolina I continue to allow God to use me as a vessel of honor. I have been employed by both the Department of Christian Education and the Department of Church School Literature. I’ve served as and Executive Assistant to the Pastor at the Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Minister of Christian Education at Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church in Baltimore, Maryland, the District Director of Sunday School on the Baltimore District, the Minister of Young Adults at Steele Creek A.M.E. Zion Church, and more. I am blessed to have been able to travel the Church and every where I have served, God has used me.
As I offer myself as a candidate for General Secretary of Christian Education, I believe that with my passion, innovation, leadership experience, creative & spiritual gifts, and exposure that I would be able to mobilize this ministry into greater. With that, I ask for your prayers and support as I offer myself as a visionary, voice and vessel. Elect Kyles 2020.
Any donations are greatly appreciated.
